BTFE: Box Tops for Education.  These are found on General Mills products.  These are collected for schools which can turn them in for cash.  These can also be traded.

Catalinas:  Coupons printed out at checkout.  They are tied to purchases.

C/D: Complete Deal.  This means everything needed for a refund is included.  The pop's, crt and form.

C/O: cents off or cash off coupon.  These are atypical coupons.

CPNS: Same as C/O

CRTC: Cash Register Tape Circled.  Refunds often require you to circle the purchase price of a product.

CODES: This is a code number (usually a upc) that's entered on the refund form.  A code is usually asked for when the upc can't be removed from the product ie.. Pam cooking spray.

COUFUND: Proofs of purchase are put directly on a coupon and used at checkout, rather than being sent in.

DCRT: Dated Cash Register Tape.  The tape must show the date of purchase.

DND: Do not Double.

EPOP: Each Pays Own Postage. No LSASE is required as both parties are paying their own postage.  This is usually used by people trading coupons.

FAR: Free after Rebate.  This means you will get the cost of the item back, less tax, when you send in for the rebate.

GDA:  Good Deal Alert.  This means there is an exceptional sale.

GC:  Gift Certificate.

HT:   Hang tag. This is a refund form found hanging from the neck of a bottle.

ISO: In search of.  Traders use this when looking for a specific coupon or form.

LFE:  Labels for education.  These are found on Campbell's products.  They are collected for schools, which in return, turn them in for cash.

LNT:  Linens-N-Things.  Awesome Store.

LSASE: long self addressed stamped envelope

XLSASE: extra large self addressed stamped envelope.

LSA(2)SE: long self addressed envelope with two stamps on it.

LTD: Limited.  The fine print of refund forms, state this when the offer is limited to specific states.

M5M or MfiveM: Marlboro Miles.  These are found on Marlboro Cigarettes and can be turned in for gifts from their catalog.

MONEY PLUS: These are offers that require you to purchase a product at a lower price.  They are junk.  If they only ask for a postage fee, then they're considered a refund.

MF: a refund form found in a magazine.

MFR:  Manufacturer

NpF: refund form found in the NEWSPAPER

NECKBAND: The label that's found on the neck of a bottle.

NB: national brand (not a store brand or generic)

NBQ: National Brand Qualifier.

NED: No Expiration Date: Some refunds have no expiration date on them as well as some coupons. 

NON SS:  Non Sunday Supplement.  These are not found in Sunday papers, they're found elsewhere ie... magazines, etc. 

OAS: One any size.Some coupons have size specifications on them, this one means any size.

OTC:  Over the counter

POP: Proof of Purchase.These can be the box top, upc, etc.  Can also be called a qualifier.

PROOF OF PURCHASE SEAL: Special seal that says., "Proof of Purchase" on it. 

PP: purchase price. This is the actual price you paid for the product.

P/H: postage and handling

QUALIFIER: AKA POP (see above)

SAE: Self addressed envelope

SASE: Self addressed stamped envelope

SMP: Specially marked package.  The package has some type of offer on it, whether it be a refund of coupon.

TRU: Toys'R'Us

UPC: Universal Product code.  This is one you need to know!  These are usually asked for as POP.  It is the "bar code" cashiers scan for the price (the box with black, straight lines with numbers underneath).  

WSL: while supply lasts. This means the offer is limited.  First come, first serve.  Whe they run out, the offer is over, so get yours in early.
